First Aid At Work – 3 day course
The First Aid at Work training course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces to become a confident first aider at work. Giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies, it meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety and first aid regulations.
This course is accredited by Nuco Training and will include a certificate and handbook.
Topics covered include (but are not limited to):
- How to assess an incident
- Safe use of an AED (automatic external defibrillator)
- Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
- Manage a casualty with external bleeding
- Manage a casualty with a minor injury
- Conduct a secondary survey
- Safely and effectively deal with injuries to bones, joints and muscles
- Suspected head and spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Sudden poisoning
- Anaphylaxis

Emergency First Aid At Work – 1 day course
This course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.

Paediatric First Aid Training – 2 day course
This course is for people working with young children and those working towards an Early Years educator qualification. The paediatric first aid course meets the Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register requirements

- Understand the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider
- Be able to assess an emergency situation safely
- Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child in a number of scenarios
- Understand how to administer emergency first aid to an infant and a child with a chronic medical condition or sudden illness

Emergency Paediatric First Aid – 1 day course
This one-day course focuses on emergency scenarios that may face those looking after babies and young children. You will learn to understand the role and responsibilities of the emergency paediatric first aider, have the ability to assess an emergency situation and prioritise your actions

Course content includes, but is not limited to, how to deal with an infant or child who is:
- Unresponsive and breathing normally
- Unresponsive and not breathing normally
- Having a seizure
- Choking
- Suffering from shock
- Bleeding

Oxygen Therapy & Airway Management
- 1 day course
This training enables users to administer oxygen safely and effectively, for casualties with breathing difficulties. Delegates will learn how and when to administer oxygen to a casualty and the safety concerns with carrying, storing and administering it.
This course is suitable for qualified First Aiders, Emergency First Aiders, dental practitioners and dental care professionals, nurses, healthcare professionals and others working in an environment where oxygen is available for casualty welfare.

Course content includes (but not limited to):
- The benefits of oxygen therapy
- Indicators for the use of oxygen
- Safe handling and storage
- Use of airway adjuncts to help secure an unresponsive casualty's airway

First Response Emergency Care (FREC) Level 3 – 5 day course
This regulated and nationally recognised prehospital care qualification is clinically endorsed by The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care- The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and fulfils the competencies set out in the Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) skills framework at descriptor level D. The QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is one of the few first aid qualifications recognised by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). FREC 3 is specifically designed for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance services, the event medical sector or those who work in high risk environments.
